With Squeegee in the down position (or if stuck in the down position), observe the side of the squeegee swing arm from underneath the machine. If the pin (yellow) is not lined up in the groove (orange) the up and down movement will be impaired.

On the back of the swing arm, locate this 10mm bolt. It applies tension on the main spring in the squeegee assembly.

With a 10mm socket, tighten bolt to increase tension and move pin towards the groove.

Continue until the pin is completely within the groove.

Check the other end of the bolt and see if a lock nut (999-0497) has been added.

Tighten the lock nut down with a 10mm wrench. Having the swing arm in the UP position will give more room for the tool.

Make sure the lock nut is all the way down to the shaft.
